The Leadership in Consulting Engineering Certificate Program is a comprehensive, 8 course series designed to meet the needs of consulting engineering firms. The curriculum is directed towards emerging principals and design professionals who are looking to take the next step in their career as a business leader.

Cost:

$1,800 + GST. Participation fee includes: Pre-Class Reception, 8, four-hour sessions, resource materials, hot breakfasts, 2 Networking Happy Hour Meet Ups, Post-Series Celebrations & Graduation.

Grant Funding

Consulting engineering firms can access up to $15,000 per employee per fiscal year to invest in employee training through the Canada-BC Job Grant. Criteria for Participation

  • Minimum 10 years work experience in consulting preferred.
  • The participant must be sponsored by a representative from senior management at their firm. It is important that the students are supported by their firm. For companies who have their employees participate in this program, this is a way to groom your future leadership. 

Eligible Credits

  • Participants will be eligible for a total of 28 Professional Development Hours and will receive an ACEC-BC Certificate of Completion upon finishing the series.
  • Sessions also qualify as CPD activities as outlined in the ASTTBC guidelines.

FAQ's

Q: I am unable to make it to one of the classes. May I send a substitute or will I be able to make up the class?

A: Substitutes are not accepted, but you may make up the session during the following year's class calendar.

Q: I would like to attend a couple of the sessions, but I'm unable to commit to the entire program - can I do this?

A: Yes, there will be limited spots open to the public for each seminar. The fee per course for ACEC-BC members is $245 + GST, and $295 + GST for non-members. 

Q: I would like to attend the Networking Happy Hour Meet Ups, but I did not sign up for the program, am I allowed to?

A: Unfortunately, the Networking Happy Hour Meet Ups are only open to students registered for the series.
