Each year ACEC-British Columbia, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, and TransLink co-host a one day transportation conference showcasing the future direction and trends surrounding the province's transportation plans.

Highways and New Ways will look at the key historical factors driving the development of BC’s transportation systems, and where we may be going in the future.

We're excited to announce that 2018 Transportation Conference has a free, official app which you can Download and be able to:

  • View the event agenda and plan your schedule
  • Post and read messages in the event bulletin board
  • Plan ahead whom to meet at the event by browsing attendee profiles in advance
  • Send in-app messages and exchange contact info
  • Receive real time event updates from organizers
  • Access maps

Instructions on how to download the app:

1. Search 'Whova' in the App Store on your iPhone or in Google Play on your Android phone.

2. Install the app on your phone and register using your business email address and create a password.

3. Next, you will be prompted to enter the invitation code: tc2018

Alternatively, you can sign in using a social media account. Once you're signed in, you should be taken directly to 2018 Transportation Conference!

Preliminary Conference Agenda

Morning Tour Option 1 - Fraser River Paddlewheeler Tour

A guided tour of key infrastructure sites along the Fraser River, departing from New Westminster Quay.  Includes the Patullo Bridge, Alex Fraser Bridge, Railway Bridge (Skybridge), Surrey Fraser Docks and Annacis Island WWTP.

  • Boarding begins at 7:00 a.m., at Inn on the Quay in New Westminster
  • Tour boat departs at 8:00 a.m.  Breakfast provided on the boat.
  • Tour boat returns to New Westminster Quay at 11:00 a.m.
  • Transit passes will be provided for tour participants to return to the Hyatt Regency via the Expo Line (New Westminster Station westbound to Burrard Station).
